MEET DR. TEDD TRIPP

LCA is excited to announce that Dr. Tedd Tripp, Pastor Emertus and author of the book “Shepherding a Child’s Heart” will be speaking at our 50th Anniversary Gala. Tedd and his wife Margy started Immanuel Christian School in 1979 where they have poured countless hours into the shepherding of young hearts and minds. We look forward to hearing an encouraging word from Dr. Tripp on how we can be more intentional in shepherding the hearts of the young people God has put into our lives.

PRAYER & PRAISES

Middle school and High school students are invited to join in a weekly prayer session. This is a student led group. They will meet Tuesday mornings at 7:40am in Room 2. Any questions please see Mrs. Van Aken.


Earlier this week, our LCA Board of Directors excitedly announced that David Miller will be our new Head of School! Mr. Miller visited with our students, parents, faculty, and staff in February and he and his family will be relocating to the Lehigh Valley when his term at his current school ends in July. 


PRAYER REQUEST: Please pray for Mr. Miller and his family as they plan their transition and move, as well as our LCA community as we prepare for him to join us. 

PRAISE: We praise God for providing us wisdom throughout this process and for providing Mr. Miller! We also thank you for praying for Stephen Reel, our Graybeal consultant as his bone marrow transplant has been scheduled. God is good!

PROM TICKETS ARE ON SALE!

“Once Upon a Fairytale” Prom is on Friday, April 26th at 6:00pm at The Aster Event Center in Allentown.  Tickets are on sale now in Mrs. Crain’s room through Friday, March 22nd.  They are $45 each. If students plan on bringing a guest from outside of LCA, a guest form can be picked up in Mrs. Crain’s room and must be turned into Mrs. Franco for approval by Monday, March 18th.

WE NEED YOU! Please sign up to be a Lunchroom Aide and monitor the students during their lunch period.  $10/PIF awarded for every hour.  When signing up, please try to be available for the entire time slot of 10:45AM-1:30PM.

Gertrude Hawk Candy Bars

How does this sale operate?  Each participating student will receive carriers containing 48 assorted milk and dark chocolate bars.  The bars are sold for $2.00 each, generating a 50% profit for the school!  Since Gertrude Hawk is unable to accept returns of whole or partially sold carriers, each participating family is responsible to sell the entire contents of each carrier.  LCA cannot accept any returns.  Money for the cost of the carriers may be submitted at the beginning of the sale, but payment deadline is no later than April 15, 2024Please submit payment via cash, personal check or money order made out to LCA for the total cost of your carriers.        

Does this fundraiser count toward my PIF (Parental Involvement Fee)?  Yes it does!  For each carrier sold, your PIF is credited $48.00. 

50% profit for the school and a reduction in my PIF!  How do I get started? Please complete the bottom of this form so we know how many carriers each family will be selling.  The form needs to be returned no later than Monday, March 11, 2024.  Once the carriers arrive you will be contacted to arrange pick-up of your carriers.  Those orders with 1-2 carriers will be sent home directly with the student.
