GALA UPDATES

Last week, we confirmed our incoming Head of School David Miller will be in attendance for the gala, and as such, we want to ensure every seat in the venue is filled so we can REJOICE in God’s provision of a new LCA Leader, as well as His faithfulness for the past five decades!

Current teachers/staff and a guest will attend free of charge, as a THANK YOU for their faithful service to our students and families
Ticket prices will be reduced to $50 for all tickets sold by Friday, April 26 – Purchase your tickets ASAP!
Information about volunteering opportunities will be coming soon.
A very special THANK YOU to our Event Sponsor Dan and Hannah Smith who own and operate The Inn on Church Road in Hershey, Pa. and are alumnus of LCA
We are on the lookout for businesses and individuals who may be willing to sponsor our gala. Sponsorship opportunity details can be found in the link below

MEET DR. TEDD TRIPP

LCA is excited to announce that Dr. Tedd Tripp, Pastor Emertus and author of the book “Shepherding a Child’s Heart” will be speaking at our 50th Anniversary Gala. Tedd and his wife Margy started Immanuel Christian School in 1979 where they have poured countless hours into the shepherding of young hearts and minds. We look forward to hearing an encouraging word from Dr. Tripp on how we can be more intentional in shepherding the hearts of the young people God has put into our lives.

General Updates

As the IOWA assessment testing season approaches, we want to share some tips to help set your student up for success:

  1. Provide Support: Be there to offer support and encouragement throughout the process. Let your child know that you believe in their abilities and that you’re proud of their efforts.
  2. Focus on Healthy Habits: Ensure your child gets enough sleep, eats nutritious meals, and stays physically active. A healthy body contributes to a healthy mind, which is crucial for optimal performance on test day.
  3. Manage Stress: Help your child manage test-related stress. Remind them that it’s normal to feel nervous, but staying calm and focused is key.
  4. Encourage Confidence: Remind your child that standardized tests are just one measure of their abilities and that they are capable of success. Encourage them to approach the test with a positive attitude and confidence in their preparation.

By following these tips and providing your child with the necessary support and resources, you can help them feel confident and prepared to excel on standardized tests.
