Operation Christmas Child

Published by Amy Lakits on

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. Our mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. We ship these simple gifts outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S.

OCC’s Mission
“Let the children come to Me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.”
Mark 10:14, ESV
The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations.
Get a shoebox from Mrs. Zackavitch’s room. Your student can request to bring a shoebox home.
Decide as a family who you are shopping for!
Go shopping for your child and fill up your box! One “WOW” item, filler items, hygiene items, toys etc. Please do not include: liquids, toothpaste, war related items, camouflage or aerosol cans.
Return your box to LCA with payment for the box to ship. We are asking for the boxes to come in the week of Nov 9th – Nov 17th. You can pay online and then track your box to where it ends up. We ask that you pray for the child receiving your box.
