Volunteers

Do you wish to volunteer at LCA?

In order to volunteer with students at Lehigh Christian Academy, you will need to provide the following clearances:

  1. FBI Clearance
  2. Criminal History Clearance
  3. Child Abuse Clearance

Please review the instructions below:

#1- FBI Clearance Applicant Procedures

A. Affidavit: If you have been a resident of Pennsylvania for the entirety of the previous 10 years, please contact Christy Dinger in the main office at christy.dinger@lcamustangs.org to request an affidavit. On the affidavit you must affirm in writing that you are not disqualified from service based upon a conviction of an offense under §6344 which is listed on the affidavit. Please take the affidavit to a notary and sign it there. The cost is typically around $5.

B. FBI fingerprint-based background check: If you haven’t been a resident of Pennsylvania for 10 years, in lieu of the affidavit, you will need to do the fingerprint-based background check for volunteers. Fee: $22.95; Please see the instructions below:

    1. Registration: The applicant should register prior to going to the fingerprint site. Walk-in service is allowed, but this may lead to long wait times. The registration website is available online 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at https://uenroll.identogo.com. During the pre-enrollment process, all demographic data for the applicant is collected (i.e. name, address, etc.), along with notices about identification requirements and other important information. Please use the correct service code to ensure the background check is submitted for the correct purpose. Service Code for LCA: 1KG6TR
    2. Payment: The applicant will pay a fee of $22.95 for the fingerprint service. Please bring a credit/debit card or money order to pay at the fingerprint location.
    3. Fingerprint Locations: During the registration process, you will select the fingerprinting site you will go to. Closest location to LCA – IdentoGO: 2072 Downyflake Lane, Allentown, PA 18103-4779. (This location is inside AAA)
    4. Report Access:Applicants will receive an unofficial copy of their report. Please email the report or your UE ID number to Christy Dinger – christy.dinger@lcamustangs.org.

#2 – Criminal History Clearance Link
Fee: None as long as you haven’t requested a volunteer clearance in the last 60 months. Please use the website listed below to complete this clearance and email a copy to Christy Dinger – christy.dinger@lcamustangs.org. This certificate should be available to print out immediately – https://epatch.pa.gov/home

#3 – Child Abuse Clearance Link
Fee: None as long as you haven’t requested a volunteer clearance in the last 60 months. Please use the website listed below to complete this clearance and email a copy to Christy Dinger – christy.dinger@lcamustangs.org This clearance can take up to 14 days to become available. Please check your account for when it is ready to print – https://www.compass.state.pa.us/cwis/public/home

All three clearances must be received by the main office prior to any volunteering at the school. Thank you!
