Visual Arts

We create because God has created.  As image-bearers, we intentionally build opportunities into student schedules for numerous visual art classes.

Creative Discovery

Sharing a Love of Arts

Students begin their art journey in PK and continue until grade 5 with a weekly class in art in a dedicated art classroom.  Students work with a variety of mediums learning basic principles for drawing and painting, while viewing and learning about classic artworks.  Artwork is displayed at the spring concert.

Visual Exploration

Cultivating Skill

After a foundation is laid in elementary, students continue in middle school for grades 6-8 with a weekly art class with more challenging assignments, while learning more advanced skills.  High school students in 9-12 are given opportunities for electives in painting, illustration & design (digital), drawing, and photography.

Artistic Focus

Advanced Art

A select number of high school students sign-up for an additional advanced art class that provides opportunities for students to create projects based on their personal interests.  Students work in a small environment (typically 1:5 teacher-student ratio) to craft pieces to display at the spring art show.  Seniors select mediums and topics to explore during Advanced Art.
