Mustang News
We cultivate excellent media communication skills and teamwork with our weekly Mustang News production.
Mustang Media
Join a Production Team
Mustang News has an annual try out to join a production team of 10 to 14 students. The production team includes various on-air roles, writing jobs, and videography positions. Students cover a variety of events and news about the school, while producing feature segments with teacher and staff.
Real Journalism
Skills Beyond the Video
Students learn not only to operate camera equipment and sound, but they learn to work as a team around a tight weekly deadline. A full block every Wednesday morning is dedicated to the production of Mustang News and viewed by the entire school, while hosting competitions and viewer interaction for activities throughout the year.
Faith Stories
Integrating Faith and Media
While learning valuable skills, students incorporate faith through the “Truth Talk Segment” reflecting on the Bible. Faith is woven into other elements of each production through select topics and prayer. Mustang News is important to building community and relationships between students.
