High School 9-12

Every high school student is known personally and supported as they step into their future with a Christ-centered education, all within a community of caring faculty and classmates.

Faith & Purpose

A Personal and Christ-Centered Education

At our high school, every student matters because they are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God.  We desire to help students discover their strengths and passions.  Students discuss big ideas and profound concepts with Christian faculty who genuinely care.  Teachers engage students with enriching dialogue and Socratic discussion, seamlessly connecting academic subjects with faith.  Personal attention is given to each student with a small student to teacher ratio.  A homeroom-advisor is assigned to each student for their four years at LCA to support them in their high school journey.  Students receive a comprehensive Bible curriculum that trains students in biblical interpretation and theology.  Elective choices allow students to personalize their schedule based on their interests with a variety of course offerings.  Students plan their electives using the Course of Study and the four-year course planner.   Teachers are attentive to student needs and ensure that no one slips through the cracks at LCA.

Intentional Readiness

Preparing for Your Calling

We are committed to equipping students for both college and future careers.  Our program develops the strengths and talents of students through hands-on learning, interactive lectures, seminars, and project-based learning.  Students are trained how to think, to learn, and to adapt strategies throughout their educational experience.  A variety of core courses and electives with a dedicated College & Career class for juniors and seniors gives students ample opportunities to discover their God-given abilities.

Students can pursue their interest in courses like theater, culinary arts, or Mustang News, while taking classes for college-credit through our partnership with Cairn University.  Over 20 college credits of challenging electives are available in Calculus, Statistics, Western Civilization, Physics, and Advanced Biology.  College-bound students also prepare for an in-school SAT in the Spring of their Junior year and from freshman year they take the PSAT to track their progress.  For a career-focused student, we offer valuable opportunities such as internships and hands-on electives.  Both career-focused and college-bound students benefit from completing a Senior Capstone Project that highlights their unique skills and interests.

Growing Together

A Close-knit Community

Students are embraced by a strong sense of community.  An excellent student-teacher ratio gives students time to get to know their classmates, encouraging friendships to flourish.  We hold a full day retreat in September, and foster connections through student life opportunities throughout the year, such as field trips and service projects.   High School student life is filled with excitement including: weekly clubs, chapel, pep rallies, school dances, student vs staff games, spirit week, and an end-of-year trip to Dorney Park.  The no-cut sports program provides students opportunities to try various sports and receive PE credit for participating.  Senior year is a special year that has many traditions, including senior sunrise, a senior mentorship chapel, a senior clap-off ceremony, and a commencement with reception.
