K-5 Elementary

Elementary students are prepared for a lifetime of joyful learning, to grow in a community of learners, and to be shepherded by our caring faculty.

Inspired Learning

Fostering a love of learning for a lifetime

At LCA, learning is fun and exciting!  Faculty use hands-on learning, auditory methods, and visual aids to give students a variety of ways to learn.  Our carefully sequenced curriculum engages students with the essential skills and content to prepare them for middle school, while igniting passion for learning through students exploring their personal interests.  Students are not just taught information, but rather, they are equipped with the tools of learning for problem-solving, independent learning, and creative collaboration.  Faculty are attuned to the needs of each student to adapt their instructional strategies and curriculum to meet student needs.  Students enjoy core classes in language arts, math, Bible, social studies, and science, while also receiving instruction from dedicated specialist teachers in computers, music, gym, art, spanish, and library.   Each week features a chapel service for students to worship together and hear from a variety of speakers.

Faithful Guidance

Shepherding Student’s Hearts in a Safe Place

Every faculty member is a dedicated Christian educator trained to shepherd a child’s heart.  They build relationships with students, nurturing each child’s faith and learning.  Our teachers pray with students, disciple students with Scripture, and encourage each student to develop their personal relationship with God.    We understand that every child has a unique identity to be nurtured and developed through encouragement and gracious correction.  Students are shepherded in a physically, emotionally, and spiritually safe environment.  All employees and volunteers are required to submit clearances.  Visitors must sign-in with the raptor check-in system, and emergency drills and routines are practiced regularly.  This environment provides a secure place for students to thrive.

Growing Together

Growing in a Community of Learners

Our faculty foster an inclusive environment of learners that challenges each student at their own level.  This student-centered approach fosters a cohesive classroom where learners support and encourage one another in their faith and learning, reflecting the Kingdom of God.  A diverse group of learners and perspectives are brought together in one classroom through differentiated instruction, math placement, enrichment opportunities, learning support, and technology integration with programs like RazKids, IXL, and Rocketmath.  At LCA, we emphasize our unique identities in Christ, while training students to work cooperatively and collaboratively on projects and assignments.  We foster and build community with parents through timely communication and community events like coffee connections, Back to School Night, and our annual Welcome Back Picnic.  Education in community is not just imparting skills and knowledge, but it is preparing and training students to live in community and work with one another for the glory of God.
