Concurrent credit provides college credit for taking classes at LCA from LCA teachers.  Unlike dual enrollment or online courses, students receive credit both at LCA for high school and credit from Cairn University for college at the same time! Students will have an actual college transcript on file at Cairn!   After high school, students can transfer credit from Cairn University to other colleges throughout the country or attend Cairn University.  Unlike AP courses, concurrent credit doesn’t require a high score on one test.  Students receive credit for passing the course at LCA.  Concurrent credit through our partnership with Cairn University only costs $80 a credit.  LCA offers concurrent credit coursework in Algebra II, Precalculus, Calculus, Statistics, Advanced Biology, Western Civilization, and Physics.  This is over one semester of college credit with the potential to save students thousands through graduating college early!  This completed coursework may also provide the opportunity to double major, receive a minor, or take more interesting and challenging course work their freshmen year!
