Lehigh Christian Academy

Admissions Procedure for New Students

The following timetable will help guide you through the LCA Admissions process:

Step 1: Campus Visit – Tour & Interview

LCA encourages interested families to schedule a tour during one of our Welcome Wednesdays to absorb both the spiritual and academic atmosphere of the school in addition to meeting students, teachers, and administration. To make an appointment for a tour and interview, please call (610-776-7301) or email (

Step 2: Apply

Please submit completed online application, supplemental forms and $150 non-refundable application fee. (Fee serves as a tentative reservation on a student's space pending preliminary review and testing) The following checklist of supplemental items to include with the application will help to ensure that your application is complete:

          -Complete Online Application

-Copies of Report Card from previous school

-Any available test scores (including special evaluations and IEP’s)

         - Non-Refundable application fee of $150 (includes entrance exam fee)

Step 3: Preliminary Review

The LCA administration will review completed application materials and make a preliminary decision as to whether to proceed with entrance exams and testing.

Step 4: Testing

An LCA staff member will contact you to set up a time for testing with our school counselor. The results aid the school in the decision making process regarding appropriate grade placement. LCA will gladly share the results of these tests with parents upon request.

Step 5: Final Acceptance

LCA administrators make decisions concerning enrollment as a team. Therefore, the final decision may take time after the interview/testing appointment to allow review. Providing all information is complete, you can expect to hear from someone on the administrative team concerning your application and final acceptance.

In making decisions, the administrative team will consider such issues as:

-Is LCA able to meet the student’s academic, social and physical needs?

-Are the student’s parents supportive of the school’s Christ-centered                      philosophy so that a partnership with the school can develop?

-Is the student under his or her parents’ authority and willing to follow the             school’s lifestyle guidelines?

-Does the student desire to attend LCA?

Step 6: Acceptance Letter

Within two weeks from the submission of the completed application materials, entrance exam and interview, an acceptance letter will be mailed to you to confirm enrollment. Included with the letter will include a checklist of supplemental forms that are necessary to complete the enrollment process.

Additional information regarding school supplies, uniforms, current school calendar and various other items will also be provided

Step 7: Family Orientation

Traditional enrollment is typically for the beginning of each school year. Prior to the start of school, parents are required to attend Family Orientation that covers information that is helpful in the transition of new students and families.
