PTF Minutes from March 1, 2010

Officers present:  Vice President Sally Grispo; Treasurer Denise Pattison; and Secretary Michelle Ahern.

 

Officers absent:  Deb Petke

 

Twenty-five (25) Parents/teachers were in attendance.

 

Meeting was called at 7:05 PM by Vice President Sally Grispo. 

 

Sally Grispo began with a prayer.

 

Teacher/parents surveys on the PTF were on the back table to be filled out to help improve the PTF.  Sally asked that everyone fill out a survey and turn it in before leaving so that it could be reviewed.

 

Mrs. Williams re - introduced Author Night which is scheduled for 4/12/10 at 6:30PM.  The children will be the “authors” for the night.  Their teachers will help them pick out a piece of writing that they will share with the parents that night.  The PTF will sponsor a dinner at 5:30 and at 6:30 we will go to our children’s classrooms for their presentations.  Time will be allotted for multiple children in a family.  Any profit made from the dinner will go to the writing center supplies.  Mrs. Williams commented on the increase the staff sees in students’ writing.  More information will follow via flyers.

 

May 1, 2010 is our next meeting and a vote for PTF officers for the 2010-2011 school year.  Presidency is up for vote and Treasurer, though Denise is willing to be treasurer again.  There is one parent who is considering the presidency.  Denise gave a brief synopsis of what the treasurer’s position entails.

 

The meeting was passed over to the LCA board.  Pastor Allen began by introducing the board members.   Present were Pastor Dave Allen, Pastor Smith, Jay Musselman, and Timothy Barr.

 

Pastor Allen reviewed the upcoming tuition costs and budget items for the new year. 

 

 

 

Sally Grispo closed the meeting in prayer at 8:00PM.
